Dr. Kathleen M. Casacci has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1993. She graduated with Cum Laude Latin honors in the top 5% of her class. In 2000-2002, she completed Straight wire orthodontics training and case finishing with the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Casacci graduated in January of 2009 with Level 4 Bioesthetic dentistry training. There are less than 300 dentists world wide with this training. Bioesthetic dentists utilize the principals of esthetic tooth form, stable tm joints and precise occlusion (bite) to provide relief of painful grinding, headaches, and produce lasting beautiful comfortable smiles. She also has extensive training as an undergraduate in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery.
To add to her credentials, Dr. Casacci has completed a mini residency and maxi-course on dental implants, and was a clinical instructor in restorative dentistry at SUNY Buffalo school of Dental Medicine from 1993-1996. Dr. Casacci was awarded the prestigious FAGD award in August of 2001 and Mastership in the Academy Of General Dentistry (MAGD) June 2012. Less then 2% of the dentists in the country have attained this level of distinction. Dr. Casacci has also received training in Botox and dermal fillers. To date she has completed over 3,000 hours of quality post-graduate continuing education.
Amherst Dentist Receives 2012 Mastership Award from
the Academy of General Dentistry
CHICAGO (June 23, 2012) —The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a professional association of more than 37,000 general dentists dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public, is pleased to announce that Kathleen Marie Casacci DDS, MAGD, of Amherst, New York, received the association’s 2012 Mastership Award during the AGD 2012 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held June 21 to 24, in Philadelphia.
The Mastership Award is the highest honor available at the AGD and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Casacci completed over 3,000 hours of continuing dental education.
As a recipient of the Mastership Award, Dr. Casacci joins more than 2,300 active AGD Masters who understand that providing great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.
“We are proud to honor Dr. Casacci for her commitment to continuing education in her quest to provide quality dental care and oral health education to her patients,” says AGD President Jeffrey M. Cole, DDS, MBA, FAGD. “There are more than 169,000 general dentists in the United States and Canada and less than two percent of those are Masters with the AGD. It’s a remarkable accomplishment for Dr. Casacci.”
In October of 2013, Dr. Casacci received her Associate Fellowship credentials in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In order for a dentist to be credentialed, they need a minimum of 350 hours of implant dental education and they must pass a written examination. After successful completion of the written exam she had to present several of her cases of completed implant treatment for review and oral examination by the Academy.
Dr. Casacci graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1993 and currently practices dentistry in the Town of Wheatfield (North Tonawanda), New York. In addition to the AGD, Dr.Casacci is a member of the the following organizations: American Dental Association, American Academy of Implantology, American Orthodontic Society, Academy of Bioesthestic Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Heather Heppner
Wheatfield Family Dentistry is pleased to welcome Dr. Heather Heppner to the practice. She is a life long resident of WNY, a graduate of Starpoint High School; Dr. Heppner did her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Charleston in W. Virginia and Dental training at SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She recently completed a general practice residency at Faxton, St. Luke’s in Utica, New York. Dr. Heppner has focused her early training in esthetics and pediatric dentistry and her more recent experiences in surgery including implant dentistry. She is a Captain in the National Guard and has served 2 tours in Afghanistan during her 5 years with the US Army.
Dr. Heppner has been with Wheatfield Family Dentistry since 2014 and has completed the Ti-Max Implant year long training program in 2015. With over 400 hours of continuing education since joining WFD, she has completed the first step to credentialing in the American Academy Of Implant Dentistry. She is also certified in Invisalign orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Heppner is a member of the American Dental Association, the AAID (American academy of implant dentistry), the Dental Society of New York State, and the Eight District Dental Society.
Dr. Anna Bailey
Wheatfield Family Dentistry welcomes Dr. Anna Bailey to the practice. Dr. Bailey was born in Buffalo and raised in Orchard Park, NY. After graduating from Orchard Park High School, Dr. Bailey completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at SUNY Albany. While pursuing her dental training at SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Bailey became significantly involved in philanthropy and community outreach. As the Alpha Omega Philanthropy Chair, she lead a student group at the Good Neighbors Health clinic providing free dental care to those in need in Western New York. Additionally, Dr. Bailey spent almost three weeks abroad in Vietnam as a part of the Hope for Tomorrow Pediatric outreach mission. Dr. Bailey is the founder of the UB Run for Smiles 5K which just completed its fifth annual race, raising over $30,000 for charitable programs at the dental school to date. She was awarded the UB Dental Image of Excellence Award for her contributions to the school.
She continued on to New York City after graduation complete a GPR (General Practice Residency) at the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Bailey has focused her early training in oral surgery, implant and restorative dentistry. Dr. Bailey has completed the Invisalign Orthodontic Training and looks forward to begin her steps towards credentialing.
Dr. Bailey is a member of the American Dental Association, the AAID (American academy of implant dentistry), New York State Dental Association and Eighth District Dental Society.
